Some data is required to create an account, subscribe to newsletters, or save preferences.
We supplement our records with partner data (e.g., updated mailing addresses from ad networks). We also use cookies, log files, heat-mapping, and similar tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Honeycomb) to collect performance data and personalise the Services. The Services are not configured to respond to “Do Not Track” signals. You can manage cookies in your browser; disabling them may reduce functionality. To opt out of interest-based ads visit optout.aboutads.info or networkadvertising.org/choices.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (race, religious beliefs, health data, biometrics, financial account numbers) or criminal-offence data.
Privacy scope note – free vs paid tiers.
Our data-collection and data-usage practices are identical across free and paid subscriptions; paying confers broader commercial rights to your own output under the Terms of Service, but it does not change how Rosebud handles your personal information.
⸻
3. How We Use Your Information
We process personal information to:
• operate, maintain, personalise, and improve the Services (research, debugging, analytics, security, fraud prevention);
• measure engagement and understand user behaviour;
• send Service-related messages or marketing communications (you may unsubscribe at any time);
• comply with legal obligations and protect vital interests;
• pursue other legitimate business purposes, including but not limited to product development.
AI model training and commercialisation
Rosebud combines or aggregates User Content and Usage Data to create anonymised datasets. We may disclose, license, commercialise, or sell these datasets—and any AI models or derivatives trained on them—to third-party research partners, academic institutions, or commercial “frontier” AI laboratories for training, fine-tuning, evaluation, benchmarking, and downstream commercial exploitation. Rosebud never sells, licenses, or otherwise discloses data in a form that could reasonably identify you; only fully anonymised data or derived models are shared. At present there is no opt-out mechanism for this anonymised-data use. Aggregated or de-identified data may be used for any purpose.
There is no blanket opt-out from anonymised-data use, but we will
consider any valid objection under GDPR Article 21 and may continue
processing only if we can demonstrate compelling legitimate interests.
⸻
4. How We Share Your Information
We share information only as necessary:
• Service providers & vendors – cloud hosting, analytics, security, marketing, generative-AI API processing – under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal compliance – in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process, or to defend against legal claims.
• Protection of Rosebud & others – to investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, or illegal activity, or to enforce our Terms of Service.
• Corporate transactions – in connection with a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar event.
We will attempt to notify you before disclosing personal information unless prohibited by law.
Content you post in public areas (forums, chat rooms, reviews) is public; you assume full responsibility for anything you post.
Aggregated or de-identified information may be shared for research, analytics, or reporting.
⸻
5. Storage and Security
Personal information may be stored and processed in the United States and other countries where Rosebud or its providers operate. We use industry-standard safeguards—SSL-encrypted transmission, encryption at rest in Google Cloud Platform, least-privilege access controls, and continuous monitoring—and comply with applicable data-breach notification laws.
⸻
6. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here or as required by law, then delete or anonymise it.
⸻
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access,
correct, delete, export, or object to our processing of your personal
information, or to withdraw consent. Submit requests to
support@rosebud.ai; we may verify your identity before acting.
Data deletion. Email support@rosebud.ai with the subject line
“Delete My Data.” We will erase account-linked personal information
within 30 days unless we must retain it for legal, security, or audit
purposes. Fully anonymised data already incorporated into AI models or
datasets cannot be removed because it no longer identifies you.
⸻
8. Additional Regional Disclosures
• Data transfer. By using the Services you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States and acknowledge that U.S. law may be less protective than the laws of your jurisdiction.
• Children. The Services are not directed to children under 13 years old (or the lowest age permitted by law).
• EU / UK / Switzerland / EEA. See Section 9.
⸻
9. EU, UK, and Swiss Data Subject Rights
Rosebud is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with the Services (unless acting solely as a processor for a customer).
